The launch was held at Short Left in Soshanguve Block K and people came in numbers. The theme of the night was “Laughing out loud is the order of the night” and it sure was the order of the night. The line-up included Strictly Vernac’s Schoolboy and a guest comedian, Salesman, who kept us laughing with their funny jokes. The event started with Salesman who cracked his jokes in Sepedi followed by Schoolboy who catered for all languages. The organiser Phumlani Ngubeni said that the aim of the initiative was to cater for different markets in the community since their label is known for playing deep house music without entertainment. “We are trying to keep people from going to other places for entertainment whilst we have people in our community who have the talent to make us laugh.” The shows are not for the faint hearted because the comedians made fun of people from within the crowd and so if you know you are sensitive, do not go there!
