SIPHIWE MASILELA                                   24 OCTOBER

The IRB Rugby World Cup final between New Zealand and France was a very fascinating game.  The new 2011 Rugby World Cup champions  New Zealand also known as The All Blacks  have been crowned the as champions on Sunday, 23 October at Eden Park New Zealand,  after beating France 8 – 7.  A competitive game saw both sides dominating in the middle of the park; but being unable to create enough chances.

After 15 minutes of the first half we saw a try by Tony Woodcock of The All Blacks –The All Black got five points. In the second half of the game New Zealand extended their lead to make it 8 – 0. But France came back strong in the second half. Indeed their hard work really paid off when Captain Thierry Disautoire gave the French side a try and Trinh-Duc gave a French side a conversation to make it 7. “It has been a bloody outstanding Rechie and the boys just hanging in there right through the 80th minute to win this thing,” said Henry.  Emile Ntamack.  Assistant Coach of France said, “It is sad to lose after the hard work we put in.”

England will host the next Rugby world cup in 2015.
